| Working with a natural and organic medium like beeswax teaches me about my own organic process of creating art. I begin with a simple idea and by working the process of putting down wax, torching it, waxing and torching, magically, a luminosity finds its way to the surface, seemingly without having to be coaxed. Light is hidden within the medium. I am the instigator of an emergence. The more I allow the process, by letting go of preconceived ideas, light and image float to the top — or I scrape back and uncover a deeper image of embedded light.
